Green Star Movement is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through creative collaboration with Chicago students. We believe that taking pride in one’s space and art empowers children and adolescents with the skills necessary for unlimited future success.

Green Star Movement provides schools and community centers with mural projects that celebrate diversity, urban life and the natural environment. Our programs redefine city neighborhoods and strengthen teamwork, diligence and creativity in our participants. It is our priority to work with schools that lack the funds needed to support educational arts-based programming. The creation of public art not only beautifies a neighborhood but prevents crumbling infrastructures, which is often a symptom of low-income neighborhoods. Providing a link between the individual, the social, the historical and the imaginary.
